Across the street from the terminal, there is a rise of ground that now has a cross on it. While I was there, instead of the cross, they had a large white painted anchor and a directional sign which were both removed as soon as the Army took full possession of the island.

Martin L. Raines Jr. (standing right of pole) provided all the photos
of black & white.  He was resident on Kwajalein from 1961-62

Mr. & Mrs. Lt JG Stanley Mott-Smith, US Navy.
Elweena, maid from Ebeye, helped at the home. Mimi

drink powdered milk.  After leaving the Navy, Mimi's
father, Stanley, continued to work in aerospace and tech
industry in the Silicon Valley area.
